Apple will be able to control the mobil phone market by letting iPhone users sign with Verizon as well as AT&T.
There have been rumors about the iPhone being made available to Verizon Wireless users for many years, and it seems as though they might soon become more than just rumor. Apple's contract with AT&T that made AT&T the sole service provider for the iPhone will be expiring soon, and when it does Apple will enable Verizon customers to get the iPhone. Apple is reportedly going into production on CDMA-ready iPhones, which is what Verizon uses. By doing this, Apple will strengthen their already strong control over the mobile phone market.
